Tips and Tricks for Cooking a Rib Roast

Last Updated on December 14, 2021

Follow the video guide above as we walk you through roasting a bone-in rib roast to perfection.

Start by coating the rib roast with our multi-purpose herb butter, as well as some coarse salt and fresh black pepper. (You can use kosher salt or Maldon sea salt.)

Next, cook the rib roast in an oven preheated to 375°F for 90 minutes. Check the temperature every 30 minutes. When the internal temperature hits 110°F take it out of the oven as this grass-fed cut will continue to cook as you rest it for a perfect medium-rare between 125°F-130°F.

Lastly, to carve the rib roast, cut off the bones first so that you are left with just a hunk of rib roast. Cut into thick slices and serve with some of its juices. You can also cut up the ribs and serve as well.
