Cucumber, lime, jalapeño, tequila, and of course, bacon, make this unique cocktail cool with a smoky burn.
Ingredients
Basil Bacon Jalapeño Simple Syrup
- 4 slices ButcherBox Bacon cooked until crispy, crumbled
- ½ ea jalapeño pepper sliced and seeds removed
- ½ c agave syrup
- ½ c water
- 3 Tbsp fresh basil roughly chopped
Tequila Bacon Cocktail
- 3 oz tequila
- 2 slices cucumber
- 4 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz Basil Bacon Jalapẽno Simple Syrup
Garnish
- 1 Tbsp Tajin for the rim of cocktail glass
- 2 ea fresh basil leaves
- 2 slices ButcherBox Bacon cooked until crispy, crumbled
Instructions
Basil Bacon Jalapeño Simple Syrup
- Mix all ingredients for simple syrup together in a sauce pot. Simmer for 15 minutes. Strain and chill.
Tequila Bacon Cocktail
- In a cocktail shaker muddle cucumber slices. Add remaining ingredients, ice and shake vigorously.
- Salt the rim of the cocktail glass with Tajin. Strain over ice cubes. Garnish with basil leaves and crumbled bacon. Cheers!
