Ingredients
For the Bacon Jam:
- 6 oz ButcherBox bacon (chopped)
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 shallot (thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
For the Sliders:
- 1 lb ButcherBox ground beef
- 8 slider buns
- 8 slices American cheese
- Jalapenos (sliced)
- Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
- Chop the bacon, onions, and shallots.
- Form the ground beef into small patties, seasoned with salt and pepper.
How to Cook
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and water. Cook until bacon crisps up, about 5-7 minutes. Remove bacon and set aside.
- In the same pan with bacon fat, add onions and shallots. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring frequently, until caramelized.
- Add apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and maple syrup to the pan with the onions and shallots. Stir in the cooked bacon and simmer for 5 minutes, creating a thick, sticky jam.
- In a griddle or grill pan, cook the beef patties over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty at the last minute to melt.
- Place each patty on a slider bun, top with bacon jam and sliced jalapenos. Serve immediately.
