Ingredients

  • 1 Pork or Chicken Maple Breakfast Sausage Patty thawed and heated
  • 2-3 slices ButcherBox Bacon
  • 1 large tortilla gluten-free if desired
  • 1 cup shredded cheese mix of white cheddar and American cheddar recommended
  • 2 eggs scrambled
  • 2 tbsps red onions diced
  • 1 tbsp chives chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Lay the bacon on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F until crisp, about 10-12 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  • Scramble eggs to your liking and set aside.
  • On a large tortilla, layer half the cheese, the scrambled eggs, bacon, diced sausage patty, red onions, chives, and the remaining cheese.
  • Roll the tortilla tightly, tucking in the ends to form the burrito.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, place burrito seam-side down, and cook until golden brown; flip and cook the other side.
  • Slice your burrito in half and serve hot.

Notes

Reheating ButcherBox Breakfast Sausage Patties from Frozen

Skillet Instructions:
  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. Place frozen ButcherBox Breakfast Sausage Patties in the skillet.
  3. Cook for 7-9 minutes, turning the patties occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Microwave Instructions:
  1. Place frozen ButcherBox Breakfast Sausage Patties on a paper towel on a microwave-safe plate.
  2. Do not cover. Set microwave to medium heat (to prevent toughening).
  3. Heat as follows: 1 patty for 1-1½ minutes, 2 patties for 2-2½ minutes, 4 patties for 5 minutes.
Please note that appliance temperatures may vary. Adjust cooking times as needed to reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
