  • 1 red onion sliced into rings
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato sliced

  • Serve: Let everyone build their own burger with their favorite toppings and condiments.

Adaptations for Specific Diets:

  • Gluten-Free: Replace regular buns with gluten-free buns or large lettuce leaves.
  • Low Carb: Skip the buns altogether and use lettuce wraps; focus on low-carb toppings like avocado, cheese, and grilled vegetables.
  • Dairy-Free: Use dairy-free cheese alternatives and ensure all condiments are dairy-free.
  • Whole30/Paleo: Use lettuce wraps, avoid cheese, and use Whole30/Paleo compliant condiments like homemade mayo or mustard; ensure pickles are sugar-free.
