Ingredients

  • 12 ButcherBox Scallops
  • 6 slices ButcherBox Bacon
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • Fresh Chives chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Remove the foot (the muscle) from the scallops.
  • Cut the bacon slices in half to wrap each scallop.
  • Prepare the glaze by mixing equal parts soy sauce and maple syrup in a small bowl.

How to Cook

  • Take each scallop and wrap it with a piece of bacon. Secure each one with a skewer or toothpick.
  •  In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce and maple syrup to create the glaze.
  • Preheat the broiler. Place the bacon-wrapped scallops on a baking sheet and brush them with the glaze. Broil for about 2-3 minutes, flipping and brushing every few minutes. Continue cooking for about 8 minutes total, depending on the size of the scallops, until the bacon is crispy and the scallops are cooked through.
  • Once cooked, drizzle with more glaze and garnish with freshly chopped chives. Serve hot and enjoy!
